Pam Pease, the local author of Macy's On Parade, has teamed up with the West Johnston High School Band Parents Association to raise funds for the band's upcoming performance in the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, according to a news release.

Twenty percent of the sale of each book will be donated by Pease to the band's funds for the Macy's Parade trip.

Macy's On Parade, is a pop-up book for children and adults alike that celebrates this American holiday tradition.

"We are delighted to support the West Johnston High School Marching Band members in their effort to raise funds for their trip to perform in the parade," Pease stated in a news release. "The bands chosen to perform in the parade are among the best in country, and West Johnston's selection to march in the parade is national recognition of their talent."

The book will be on display Tuesday, August 19, as the band unveils its replica of the Herald Square performance area at the high school. In order for the $7.20 per book to be donated to the band's fundraising efforts, orders need to be placed online at paintboxpress.com, where West Johnston High School Marching Band can be designated as the benefactor. Orders can also be placed via order forms with band members.
