A Zebulon school teacher turned himself into police Tuesday afternoon on charges of indecent liberties with a child and indecent liberties by a teacher.
George Johnson turned himself in at the Wake County Public Safety Center at 2 p.m.
Johnson, who was a teacher at Wakelon Elementary School, is charged with two counts of indecent liberties and two counts of indecent liberties by a teacher.
According to warrants, the victim was a student at the school.
School officials said police were contacted after a father called Wakelon's principal to reported alleged inappropriate conduct between his seven-year-old daughter and Johnson.
A Wake County Public Schools spokesperson says Michael Evans, Johnson was a first grade teacher in the Wake County School system since 2007 and resigned from his teaching job on June 12th, 2009.
Johnson was accompanied by his attorney and his wife at the Wake County Public Safety Center Wednesday. They declined to comment on the charges.
Johnson is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.

This guy is sick. I wonder if it was a boy or girl? Doesn't matter, if he is guilty, he needs to go away for a long time.

we,re starting to hear more and more of this everyday. what i,m baffled about is how are these teachers getting a hold of these little children i mean are they are they grabbing them into a closet real quick? taking them to thier house, luring them into thier personal cars. if so people have to be seeing something wrong
