A group of Lenovo employees will volunteer their green thumbs this Thursday at the new site of the historic Pugh House.
The home, built in 1870, was relocated last year in order to make major improvements to the intersection of Morrisville-Carpenter Road and NC54. It now rests about 200 feet away from its original location.
There is much professional work to be done to restore the Pugh House, including the removal of lead-based paint, and some specialized repair and woodwork. However, the Morrisville Public Works Department will be utilizing volunteers to begin landscaping the grounds of the home with azaleas, hollies, and rose bushes.
As Morrisville promotes the "Year of Volunteerism" in 2009, the Town is grateful to have members of the Morrisville business community as well as Town residents who are willing to donate their time to important projects in the town.
Any other groups or individuals who are interested in volunteering time through committees or other projects can call (919) 463-6207.
