A family is without a home after more than 50 percent of it was damaged in an early morning fire.
Firefighters responded to the home at 1012 East Martin Street shortly after midnight Tuesday.
When firefighters arrived on scene they saw flames and smoke coming from the front of the house. It has been determined that an electrical malfunction in the heater sparked the blaze.
Red Cross was on hand to help the family and no injuries were reported.
