Shooting Leaves One Man Dead In Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, N.C. -

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are investigating a double shooting last night that has left one man dead and another seriously injured.

 

23-year old Terence Daniel Small of 1006 Gigi Street, Fayetteville was found dead in a parked car along Shaw Mill and Murchison Roads.  Investigators say he apparently died from a gunshot wound.  The location of the wound is not being released at this time.

 

Another man, 28-year old Michael Leonard Woodard, Jr., of 928 Pedro Drive, Fayetteville was also injured from gunfire.  He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Condition via ambulance for treatment to his injuries.  Details of Woodard’s injuries have not been released.

 

Detectives believe the shooting happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009.  Details of how the incident occurred have not yet been released.
