  Extremely Good Post JoCo. I am sick of the dam Mexican and Latino invaders of my country. And I’m even more sick of that big black guy all over TV saying the Sherriff should resign on his own and go work through his feelings. I’ve seen that black guy take advantage of situations in the past to jump and start screaming racism racism. I’m sick and tired of that crap too. He’s as bad as Jessie Jackson. You know we are about to have a black President and once we do that should prove once and for all that the only racist left in this county are certain black people who want to get preferential treatment and hand outs just because they are black. The Sheriffs feelings are accurate and his observations are correct. Just because his observations are correct does not mean he is a racist. I mean lets face it. I’m a white person…well actually I have a tan. But anyway if I feel I have discriminated against because I am white can I turn to the NAACP for resolve or help.   Sheriff Bizzell is right on the money. I'm tired and disgusted that people want an apology from him. Stop acting like he didn't say what everybody thinks. Guess what? The uneducated peasant people breed even when they know they have no realistic way to pay for it. It's their "GOD GIVEN RIGHT" to drain our natural resources which is selfish, stupid and trashy. I can't afford kids so I was responsible enough not to have them. I don't expect to run to the emergency room every time I have a hangnail and have taxpayers pick up my slack. I work hard and buy my own health insurance which I can barely afford. I know nurses that tell me the same people come in all the time with their kids, no insurance and my friends don't even go to the doctor because they can't afford it. But we can pay for all their kids. That's just one thing. Forget the hassle at Walmart. Yes, we all know what I'm talking about. People clogging the isles with all their "offspring". I had to say something because this is SO not a southern "good ole boy" thing. I'm a woman from the north and I moved here six years ago. Here's a news flash. Things are always hard for women. All I can control is my mind and my body. I don't have lots of kids because I can't afford it. It's irresponsible and the taxpayer shouldn't have to pick up the slack because it's your perceived "GOD GIVEN RIGHT" to breed. Not to mention the easy argument that if you're here illegally and you're disgruntled with the sheriff's position, GET OUT! GO HOME! GO TO MEXICO! SPEAK ENGLISH! BECOME A CITIZEN! DO WHAT EVERY OTHER GROUP HAD TO DO TO GET HERE. Stop expecting the handouts and the bilingual BS. YOU'RE LAZY. When I moved here my real estate agent was from Hungary and said that when he moved here he couldn't speak a word of English. He learned the language and said that he felt no pity for the people that wouldn't learn English because he did and said that "all the immigrants that didn't were doomed to chump change jobs". He said they are "just lazy, didn't care" and that they were "stupid enough to think that America should just give them handouts because they breed and work for cheap". He said that it was "embarrassing that the home improvement stores had to post bilingual signs as much as it would be preposterous to imagine getting a phone directory saying, "press 2 for German or Japanese." I really shouldn't have to say this but I will. Every group that's ever come to America has faced discrimination. BUT THEY ASSIMILATED. If you're not an illegal, you're not breeding like a rabbit and you're not trashy then guess what? You have nothing to worry about. Okay, enough of me already. In your comments you accused the Sheriff of profiling and then you hypocritically turn around and profile the Sheriff. You stated he was an uneducated redneck.   Someone should ask Tammy Lynn and Natalie Lynn's family if they think justice was served fairly in Johnston Co. Makes me wonder how THEY coped with the deaths of these 20 and 22 year old girls. It is heartbreaking when a small six year old is killed by a drunk driver. Steve needs to look in his own family's closet before using this as an excuse for what he said. These young girls were somebody's babies too.

  I too have lived in s. Cal for decades before moving here.. there are thousands of areas called litle mexico. I have lived in neighborhoods that went from majority white to majority hispanic in 7 years. same with the schools. I think the democrats Obama, solution is to just legalize all of them here. then their whole extended families will be able to come here legally including their siblings wives and children. the best solution is self-deportation with the e-verify mandatory . Chertoff was ready to send out all those no-match letters to all the businesses where ss# didn't match names and the ACLU and afl-cio union blocked it with a lawsuit.

  I just recently moved to Johnston County from Massachusetts and it's the same there as it is here. I agree with the Sheriff 100%. I don't have a problem with immigrants who take the time and money to come to the USA and do it legally to pursue the American Dream and become citizens of this great land. I have a problem with those who break the law and come here illegally and take our jobs, become a burden on OUR health care system and don't even take the time to learn English. They should be appologizing to us for breaking our laws and not being decent enough of a person and turn themselves in.

I don't see why there are many more issues and stories to be covered by the news and your station chooses to turn a controversial COMMENT into a heinous crime and top news story for all of Raleigh to hash out.   Some of you people should come and visit Los Angeles sometime and take a driving tour of the San Fernando Valley. Then, drive down to a border ranch in SoCal and see the environmental destruction left behind by the illegal underground railroad. “Trashy” doesn’t even begin to describe the devastation. And guess who gets to pay for the cleanup? Not our do-nothing goobermint, I will assure you.   Just saw tonight’s NBC17 broadcast about the issue. They were interviewing a “Latino” business owner who was complaining that the remarks were directed at all Latinos and not just Mexicans. The fellow was holding and mentioning the local Latino newspaper. I’m like you’re kidding the Latino newspaper. What the hell I guess our newspapers hear aren’t good enough for them. I mean we don’t have the Local Black or Afro American newspaper. We don’t have the local Japanese newspaper. We don’t have the local German newspaper. We don’t the local Irish newspaper. The point – these people have no intention of assimilating into America. They even want us all to learn their language instead of them learning ours. They have succeeded somehow in getting Espanola or English onto every ATM and credit card device in the country. What a load of crap. I’ll send $1000.00 donation to the first candidate promising to remove those choices from all card swipe devices and automated phone answering systems. Listen up Latinos, Mexicans or whatever the hell you are. This is The United States Of America. We speak English and write it to. Learn the language and change your dam business signs to English or go back to dam Latino wherever the hell that is. If you want to live hear legally and be an American then act like one. How could some one stay in a job after that? What if the situation was to be reversed? Some unfortunately brainless woman had the cheek to say “Well we were here first, and they need to back off,” but more that 100 percent of the time the reason people move here is to find better opportunities! Not everyone had the luck Americans have. Look how much every single culture, not just Mexican, but African, and Chinese, and whatever else has done for America.   WOW What a sad situation. They’re hear and they just keep coming in droves. Our Federal Government has done absolutely nothing to stop it. Oh they’ve done some things but nothing that has actually had an effect on the problem. All they have done is put band aides on cancer and expect it to go away. Every time they put on a new band aide they get all up in the media on the news acting like they are really doing something that’s going to fix the problem. Well the sad truth is….it is already too late. There are already enough of them hear with anchor baby’s. They will continue to bread like rabbits taking over area after area and turning it to trash. It does not make any difference now if they are legal or illegal. The legal one’s live just as trashy as the illegal ones. My brother in LA says it is so bad out there that he is going to move to some place like Montana to get away from them. It’s a sad situation when Americans whose ancestry goes back to colonial times, Americans whose ancestor’s fought The British, fought in the Civil War, fought in both World Wars, fought in Korea, fought in Vietnam, must flea to get away from these new invaders of their country.   As a late 30's, college educated Southern woman I say kudos to Sherriff Bizzell, for saying what so many Johnston Co. citizens feel. For those readers up in arms over his comments, come on over in live in our county for a while. See the hispanic neighborhoods overrun with trash, beer cans piled up everywhere, children running around with no supervision. Deal with the drunk, illegal hispanic drivers, wait for hours at the ER for medical attention due to overcrowding and the fact that so many illegals use it as their personal physician, and never pay a dime! Witness the drunk Hispanic urinating and defacting in the street - yes this happened as it was reported to the police... Make sure to read all the signs now posted in Spanish everywhere you go as well. Excuse me but this is America, we speak English, so immigrate here legally, learn our language, don't abuse our government programs, have some self respect, respect for this country and then folks may feel a bit different about your presence here.   It seems to me that the sheriff offered his educated opinion on the issues related to illegal immigration. Every citizen has a right to offer their personal opinions. I would suggest that he is in a better position to judge the conditions in his county than most of the public...in particular, any of the public who live outside his county.   Dear Cadoodle2, I have an illegal Canadian living across the street from me & I find this worse that the people who come here from third-world counties seeking jobs (my personal views are unnecessary here). She came to the US 18 years ago for college & got pregnant out of wed-lock so her Catholic family disowned her. She lived in the Chicago area for many years cleaning houses & not paying any taxes. A few years ago she moved across the street from me to live with her "fiance." She is still cleaning houses, not paying taxes, deducting her son on her "fiances" taxes & having the state (ie: us) pay for counseling for her son. Since she has the opportunity to become legal but they will not get married because 1) she is running from $50,000 is debt in Chicago & 2) since she is illegal she can not declare bankrupty. Now, illegals come from all walks of life; it's just where I live the most are from south of the Texas border & unfortunately many are gang members. It's sad that my small town has to have a gang task force!

  I had the same neighbors for four years in this duplex where I live. They were nice, friendly, courteous people. They ended up buying a house and moving away. A Mexican family wanted to rent the other side of this duplex. My landlord (who is an extremely nice person) couldn't rent to them because they had 6 children and the apartment only has two bedrooms. This Mexican family then threatened to sue him if he didn't rent to them with the aid of some organization. (I don't remember the name) They moved in and it's been nothing but garbage thrown everywhere. 6 kids ages 1-6 bouncing off the walls at 2 AM. To top this off- two more families have moved into their apartment. There are now at least a dozen or more people living in a two bedroom apartment. It seems to me that the people who protest the most about what this Sheriff said are those who do not have to live next door to illegal Mexican thugs. You're all avoiding the truth like it was the plague. This is no longer America.

  I read the original article in Sunday's paper and I was happy to see the sheriff speaking his mind openly and honestly about what he sees & deals with on a daily basis. If those squawking at this article would reread it, they would see where Bizzell stated his admiration for their hard work and their plight. I wonder how the good and fine legals that promote great business in Johnston county feel. ie: Owner of La Cacinna in Smithfeild and Clayton. They pay taxes. Think they like their children called rabbits. Steve needs to be forced out of office over his ignorant off the cuff comments. By the way Spaghettis is an Itialian dish the last I checked.

  I don't agree with Lisa's statement. The sherriff has cleaned up alot of riff-raff from this county. The comment, although highly inappropriate, does not mean that he is racially biased, he made a blanket statement that he should not have, but there are alot of people in the county like he described... red, yellow, black, or white, he is right. He also goes after sex offenders, I suppose there is something to be found wrong in that too, since it's more profiling. No one ever seems to say the good anymore, but always ready to jump on the wagon to hang someone.

  AS SOMEONE WHO HAS LIVED IN JOHNSTON COUNTY OVER 20 YEARS IF FEEL VERY QUALIFIED TO TO STATE THAT NOT ONLY DOES SHERIFF BIZZEL ENCOURAGE ETHNIC PROFILING HE ALSO PROFILES THE POOR AND ANYONE WHO HE WOULD CONSIDER TO LOOK IFFY. HE HAS HIS OWN LITTLE ARMY THAT CONSIST OF SHERIFFS AND LOCAL POLICE OFFICERS. THEY HAVE TORMENTED THE HISPANIC AND BLACK COMMUNITIES FOR YEARS. HOPEFULLY NOW SOMEONE WILL BE ABLE TO CLEAN UP THE CORRUPTION IN THE COURT SYSTEM ALSO. CHECK JACK O'HALES COURT RECORDS. IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY HE CAN MAKE ANYTHING PRETTY MUCH GO AWAY. ITS all about how much money you have if youn live in johnston county.
