Police: Suspect Sought In Shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Cumberland County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for a suspect in a weekend shooting incident that has left one man injured.

Gregory Leon Manning, 39, is wanted in connection with the Saturday shooting of 39-year-old Michael Mabine of 313 Richmond Drive.

Investigators say the pair began arguing about money at a home on 6110 Pine Street Court when Manning allegedly pulled a gun out of his pocket and fired shots at Mabine. Mabine was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was treated for his wounds and later released.

Meanwhile, Detectives have warrants of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury against Manning. Manning is described as a male of medium build. He weighs about 180 pounds, is five feet nine inches tall and has an Afro hair style. He may be living in the McArthur or Rosehill Road areas.
