One person was injured after a school bus and van crashed on Buffalo Lake Road in Harnett County, according to an official from Harnett County Schools.
The bus was traveling to Highland Elementary School when a van crossed the center line and hit the bus head on. There were no students on the bus at the time. The bus driver was not injured.
The driver of the van is being treated for injuries.
The bus transports students to Western Middle School to Highland Elementary School.
There's no word on any charges.

Sounds like the van driver may have been on the phone or more likely may have been texting and was not watching the road..If so there should be charges.. """ Am definately for laws against texting while driving''

It was not a head on. The van appeared to side-swipe the bus as they were approaching each other on Buffalo Lake Rd. approx 1/4 mile S of Alpine Rd. The van sustained damage to the entire drivers side and ended up approx 20' off the east side of the road. The van was north bound on Buffalo Lake, while the bus was traveling south.
