MICRO, N.C. -
Two abandoned pickup trucks were hit by two different trains in two days in Micro.
The first truck was hit on Friday morning by a CSX train. There were no injuries, and the owner of the truck was found later and charged with alcohol-related offenses.
The second truck was hit by an Amtrak train on Saturday evening, around 8:15 p.m., according to Johnston County emergency communications. They said that there were no injuries and the train continued on its route shortly after the incident. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
