The latest release of author Sherry Monahan, provides a pictoral history of the charming and historic town of Apex, North Carolina. The book is Sherry's fifth book in a series of historical accounts of the past. Sherry spent time meeting with local residents, collecting pictures and documenting the remarkable history of this little town.

Today, the streets are bustling with activity as residents, shoppers and visitors visit downtown. Shiloh Burnam, co-owner of All Booked Up, the town's community bookstore in downtown Apex, said "Apex will soon be the new Chapel Hill!" On any given weekend, there are local musicians strumming guitars for tips and others join in with harmonicas.

Lunch or dinner at The Salem Street Pub, Annas Pizzeria, La Rancherita and the Ocean Grill are often selected over big-box restraunts as each are known for their distinct menus and customer service.

Sherry Monahan, will be making an encore appearance at All Booked Up on December 5th at 3:00, just prior to the Salem Street Christmas Parade.
