All Booked Up November Local Author Series
Apex, NC October 25, 2009 - "All Booked Up" An independent bookstore in historic downtown Apex will be featuring a host of North Carolina authors in November. All Booked Up offers a comfortable and social setting to meet and greet many of the Carolina's talented writers.
November 4th, Nicole Zimmerman, mother of two and co-author of "NICU Rollercoaster", will be discussing how to set up a support structure using a blog to cope with the ups-and-downs of being a parent with children in the NICU. November 7th, Kurt Dusterberg, Apex resident and author of "Journeymen: 24 Bittersweet Tales of Short Major League Sports Careers" introduces us to 24 athletes who enjoyed only the proverbial "cup of coffee" in major league baseball, football, hockey or basketball. Instead of fame and riches, they walked away with a handful of stories and plenty of lessons--about professional sports, personal growth and how to move on with life. November 11, Keith Brown, Apex Resident, Magic Shop Business Owner and Author of two books, will be holding a book signing and discussion on his latest releases: "Lake Haven" and "Murder in the Bible Belt." November 14th, J. Christy Judah, author of multiple books focusing on the History of North Carolina and the Search and Rescue field will be holding a book signing and discussion on her latest release called "The Two Faces of Dixie: Politicians, Plantations and Slavery" in North Carolina.November 22nd, Sherry Monahan, Local author and historian, will be signing her latest release: "Apex, Images of America" at All Booked Up. Sherry's book provides the history of the charming small town of Apex, North Carolina. Sherry was attracted to Apex because of its charm and interesting history. She has four published books about the Old West and has applied the same tenacity in researching Apex. She interviewed town locals with deep family roots and sifted through dusty archive books to paint Apex's vivid history. For additional information call 919-412-3135 or email at allbookedupsalemstreet@gmail.com
