The Aug. 2 concert featuring Big Fat Gap at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road, was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave.

When weather or other conditions threaten Town-related events or activities, the Town of Wake Forest employs the following communications methods to disseminate updates:

The Aug. 30 concert will be the first at E. Carroll Joyner Park, which opened Aug. 1. The Town of Wake Forest will officially introduce the 117-acre park during a grand opening ceremony on Oct. 4.

The concert is offered by PineCone, the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music, and is co-sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department and United Arts of Raleigh & Wake County.
