SMITHFIELD, N.C. -
Due to the increase in summer temperatures the Town of Smithfield Sanitation Department will be changing its normal scheduled work hours.
Beginning Monday, the Sanitation Department work schedule will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each collection day.
Containers shall be placed at the curbside after 5 p.m. on the day before the collection date and must be removed away from the curbside no later than 8 a.m. on the day after collection as stated in the Sanitation Regulations.
