CLAYTON, N.C. -
On Wednesday June 17th, 2009, managers from the Murphy USA Gas Station, located at 12889 US Hwy. 70 Business West, contacted the Clayton Police Department to request a detective investigate an embezzlement of cash from this store.
Detective Lieutenant John Parker was assigned the case and found that the suspect had embezzled over $12,600.00 during a year while working at the store.
Lt. Parker arrested Patricia Wood Brockington, 32, of 414 Hunting Dr. in Selma.
She was charged with one felony count of embezzlement.
Brockington was placed in the Johnston County jail under a $20,000.00 secured bond.
