Adam Kurtz, a 7th grade student at McGee's Crossroads Middle School, recently published a book entitled SUPER SONIC KUNG-FU JAMES and the Mutated Worm Skin Skeletons.
Adam was inspired to write this book when his parents gave him a summer assignment after completing his fifth grade year. He has been working this book for a couple of years, and it was published in 2008.
In the story, a villain Tai Kwon Juan is plotting to create an army and use a mutating formula. As the formula was on its way to Tai Kwon Juan, one barrel drops from the truck near a cemetery and leaks out and skeletons arise with the skin of earthworms. Big problem! However, hero Super Sonic Kung-Fu James comes to the rescue.
For more about this story, please read the book. It is excellent for middle school age and older readers. For more information please contact Carolyn Cobb, 7th grade Language Arts teacher at McGee's Crossroads Middle School, at 894-6003.
