Learn to communicate with the growing Hispanic population. This class concentrates on conversational techniques and basic word phrases intended for the healthcare environment. Emphasis will be placed on pronunciation and oral exercises. Participants will learn and practice basic greetings, general administration questions, requests and responses, how to obtain patient information, and vocabulary for laboratory examinations and procedures. The participants will practice their new skills with partners, in small cooperative groups, and as a class.

The class will be on Wednesdays June 3 through Aug. 5 from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Workforce Development Center in Clayton.
